Take Calls on Your Phone the Way You Already Do
Which business a call is for, a second call while you are on one, missed calls with Call Back and Message, calling back from the Phone app, and choosing your speaker or microphone.
Calls to your business ring the Perceny app the way WhatsApp or your phone's own calls do: on the lock screen, with the system's Accept and Decline, and listed in the phone's call history. This is what each part does.

The call screen names the caller and the business they called, for example Jane Doe · Twins Limo, on the lock screen too. If you belong to several businesses you know which line it is before you answer.
When you answer a call for a business other than the one open in the app, the phone shows Call for Twins Limo under its title and a Switch to Twins Limo button under the caller. Tap it and the app moves to that business without dropping the call, so the caller's client card and conversation open from the call. You do not have to switch: the call works either way.
A second call while you are on oneCopy a link to this section
If someone else calls while you are on a call, their call rings behind yours, as call waiting does on any phone, and you see who it is.
- Hold & Accept puts the first caller on hold and answers the new one. The first caller is shown as On hold and comes back when the new call ends; tap Resume to talk to them again.
- End & Accept hangs up the first call and answers the new one.
- Decline turns the new call away. The shop's other phones keep ringing for it.
On iPhone these are the system's own buttons. In the app the phone opens with the same three buttons over the call in progress. If you do not answer, the new call stops ringing you after about 25 seconds and is listed as missed.
Missed callsCopy a link to this section
When a call to the shop goes unanswered, everyone it was meant for gets a notification: Jane Doe — Missed call to Twins Limo. Long-press it (or swipe it down on Android) for its two buttons:
- Call Back opens Perceny and calls the person back from the business's number. If the app is on another business, it switches to the right one first.
- Message opens their conversation.
Tapping the notification itself also opens the conversation. Missed calls use the Messages notification setting: turn that off under your notification preferences if you do not want them. A call to your own line notifies only you.
Calling back from the phone's Recents (iPhone)Copy a link to this section
Perceny calls appear in the iPhone Phone app's Recents, named with the business. Tap one to call the person back: Perceny opens and places the call from the business that call came in or went out on. A number this phone has never called through Perceny is called from the business open in the app.
Choosing your speaker or microphoneCopy a link to this section
In the app, during a call tap Speaker to switch between the earpiece and the loudspeaker. With headphones, a car or a Bluetooth device connected the button reads Audio and lists every device by name, for example AirPods Pro and Car, with a check next to the one in use. Tap one to move the call there. On a phone the microphone always follows the device you pick, as it does for any phone call: AirPods use their own microphone, the loudspeaker uses the phone's.
On iPhone, two Bluetooth devices connected at once are listed separately with the latest version of the app from the App Store. On Android, Bluetooth is one choice and Android picks the connected device.
On the web, during a call open the small arrow next to Mute. It lists Microphone and Speaker devices by name with a check on the one in use. Pick one and the call switches straight away. Your choice is remembered in that browser for the next call, and if the device is unplugged the call falls back to the computer's default. Safari, and Firefox by default, do not let a website choose the speaker, so only Microphone is listed there.

On iPhone the call screen shows the Perceny icon, as WhatsApp shows its own. This comes with the latest version of the app from the App Store.
