Payouts, Fast Payouts and Your Perceny Bill
Getting money out of Perceny and into your bank, and understanding what you are paying for it.
Payouts
Payouts in the left navigation. It shows what has been sent to your bank and what is still pending.
Card money does not arrive instantly. It clears, then it is paid out on a schedule. The gap between "the ticket is paid" and "the money is in the bank" is normal and is not Perceny holding it.
Fast Payouts
Features Configuration → Payment Settings carries two fields:
- Fast Payouts Enabled — automatically sends payouts every day at the time you set, with a 2% fee on each transferred amount.
- Fast Payout Time — the time of day they go out.
That 2% is real money. On $30,000 a month it is $600. Turn Fast Payouts on if the cash-flow timing genuinely matters to you — if you are paying stylists daily, or your rent lands on an awkward day. Leave it off if you can wait for the regular schedule, and spend the $600 on something else.
Your payout account
Payouts go to the bank account attached to your business, in the country and currency your business is set up in. If either is wrong, fix it before you take money — changing them afterwards does not retro-convert what you have already recorded.
Billing
Billing in the left navigation is your Perceny subscription: your plan, your add-ons and your invoices.
Some features are plan-gated. Elite Features only appears in Features Configuration on Elite plans, and messaging depends on your plan and permissions. If a feature you have read about is not there, check the plan before you check the settings.
Paying your stylists
Payouts are Perceny paying you. Paying your team is separate: record it under Payments, and reconcile against the Period Summary. See Run a pay period.
Reading the money in the right order
At the end of a period, in order:
- Earnings / Period Summary — what was earned.
- Payouts — what has actually reached your bank.
- Cash Register — what is in the drawer.
- Payments — what you have already paid out to staff.
Those four should tell one story. When they do not, the difference is nearly always cash: kept cash, instant tip payouts, or a day that was never closed.
